This is Viola

Viola is one of 6,000 patients treated at Chidamoyo every month. She contracted Bilharzia from playing in a river, so she and her mother travel 25 kilometers every two weeks for treatment from the hospital.

Viola, just 5 years old, has to be on medication indefinitely because the infection caused a grossly enlarged spleen. Thanks to our donors, she is able to receive the blood counts, medication, and blood transfusions she needs to thrive.
